About this sermon
Steve Patton finishes Luke 7 with the dinner at Simon the Pharisee's house (the weeping woman at Jesus' feet, the parable of the two debtors, and the pride Patton says kept Simon from hearing) then moves into Luke 8, where Luke names the women of means who funded the ministry and Jesus begins teaching in parables. Patton reads the sower as a line drawn between the committed and the merely curious, and the Sunday morning class ends on who counts as Jesus' family.
