What Is the Lord's Supper?

Why we observe communion every Sunday

More Than a Ritual

Every Sunday morning, we pause. Bread and fruit of the vine are passed through the congregation. We eat and drink in remembrance of Jesus. For us, this is not optional, not occasional, and not merely symbolic.

1 Corinthians 11:23-26

Paul writes that he received this from the Lord himself and passed it to the churches. The early church broke bread on the first day of the week (Acts 20:7). We believe that weekly pattern is the rhythm Jesus gave his people.

What We Are Remembering

The bread is the body of Christ, broken for us. The cup is his blood, shed for the forgiveness of sins. We are declaring his death until he comes. In a world that moves fast and forgets easily, this practice keeps the cross at the center.

We proclaim the Lord's death until he comes. - 1 Corinthians 11:26

If you are a visitor and unsure whether to participate, we ask that you examine yourself as Paul instructs and make that decision prayerfully. You will never be judged for sitting quietly.
