About this sermon
Three Greek terms in one sitting, in the Sunday morning word-study class. Josh Higgins starts with presbeuo, ambassador, set against a mutiny in the Roman legions recorded by Tacitus and Paul's phrase about being an ambassador in chains. Pistis follows: the word ordinary Greek used for loyalty and keeping a pledge, rendered "faith" hundreds of times in English Bibles, which he argues means commitment rather than belief alone. The hour closes on the two different burdens of Galatians 6 and how they divide the work.
